Virginia Mae Barnes

On August 28, 2021, Virginia Mae Barnes (nee Boyles), of Rosedale, Maryland, passed away peacefully at the Masonic Home where she resided the past six years. She received excellent care and had a happy life as a resident. Virginia was born in Altoona, Penna and the daughter of the late Roy and Sarah Boyles. She was one of six children and remained close to her family her entire life. Virginia was married to Curtis Barnes who is deceased. She was an excellent employee at Control Data for many years.

Virginia is survived by one sister, Peggy Craig, Washington, Pa., granddaughter Malinda and granddaughter Katrina and many nieces and nephews.

Virginia was an active member of the Chesaco United Methodist Church, where she helped in many fundraisers and other activities. She was a wonderful gardener - pink flowers her favorite.  Virginia was always a lady and special to all that knew her.
