Victor Coghlan Obituary

 On January 3, 2021 Victor Frederick Coghlan beloved husband of Karolyn Anetta Coghlan (nee: Skov). Devoted father of Amy Marie Matheny (Robert lll), Dorothy Renee Goatcher (Gary), and Robert Daniel Coghlan(Crystal). Dear brother of Donna Jean Donovan (William), Theresa Boer (Angelo) and the late David Thomas Coghlan (Katharine). Dear grandfather of  Joseph (Taylor), Kayla, Brenden, Dreama, Addie, Karolyn, Robert IV, and Cadence. Loving uncle to numerous nieces and nephews and grand nieces and nephews.

Victor was born in Quincy, Ma. to Victor and Mary Margaret (Fullerton) Coghlan. He attended Mt. St. Joseph high school and Mt. St. Mary’s College. He participated in baseball and soccer. Later he participated in Martial arts, earning a Black Belt. Victor was an assistant Boy Scout leader. Victor was drafted into the Army where he was trained as a medic. While serving in Vietnam he helped out at the local orphanage. Victor worked as a carpenter, mainly on commercial renovation. He attended his grandchildren’s sports events including football, cheerleading, baseball, basketball, and dance recitals. Victor’s children and nieces and nephews fondly remember his many stories. He will be missed by all who knew him. 

Visitation Thursday 2-4 pm at the CVACH/ROSEDALE FUNERAL HOME 1211 Chesaco Ave.  Prayer services begin  Thursday 4 pm. Graveside services private at the Garrison Forest VA Cemetery.
