Stella Marie Boltralik (born 1932) passed away peacefully on March 28, 2021, surrounded by her sons and daughters in law. Stella was the beloved wife of the late Henry Francis Boltralik, to whom she had been married for 64 years. She was a devoted mother to Robert Joseph Boltralik and his wife Janet Carlton and James Phillip Boltralik and his wife Zona Boltralik.
Stella grew up in Mount Carmel, Pa. Her father, Leonello, was a tailor and Stella too became an accomplished seamstress. She also had a beautiful voice and sang in numerous choirs over the years. She even sang opera at weddings. Leonello’s friends used to ask when Stella would be practicing her singing so they could listen from his basement shop.
Stella married Henry, also from Mount Carmel, and they had two sons after they moved to Baltimore, Md. She ran the household while raising her sons and still found time for numerous crafts. Angels made with egg shell heads and cheerio hair, styrofoam ball snowmen, and she was especially known for her intricately decorated eggs made for Easter and Christmas, and myriad other similar crafts. She was also a good cook and because Henry was Polish, learned to make the best pierogies. What more could anyone ask? She will be missed by her family and the many lives she touched and loved during her long life.
Visitation will be held on Wednesday morning, April 7, 2021 at the CVACH/ROSEDALE FUNERAL HOME, 1211 Chesaco Avenue, Rosedale, Md. 21237 (410-682-2467).
