Richard Lee Wyre

On July 29, 2021, Richard Lee Wyre, age 84, of Baltimore, Maryland passed away.  Beloved husband of the late Patricia Ellen Wyre (nee: Crossley); Devoted father of Richard Howard Wyre and his wife Doreen, Barbara Ellen (Robert) Gelder, Suzie Ann Wyre and the late Michael Thomas Wyre; Dear brother of Mabel 'Cracker' Holbrook, Tommy Wyre and Jeanie Wyre Sisson Spinks; Loving grandfather to  grandchildren Rachel, Richard, Zachary, Michael, Brandon and Samuel and great grandchildren Taylor, Nick, Morgan, Richard, Arianna & Braiden.

Richard was born on February 11, 1937 in Buchanan, West Virginia.  He was the son of Opal Elizabeth Oldaker (Rock Spring, Upshur County, WV) and Howard Sard Wyre (Webster Springs, WV).  He married Patricia on April 25th, 1958.  They were married 53 years until she passed away in July of 2011.  Richard had a passion for cars.  He spent a lot of time at dirt track races and watching races on tv.  He loved going back to visit family in West Virginia.  His grandkids and great grandkids were the highlight of his life.

Richard is preceded by his father and mother, wife, brothers Harry 'Sonny', Russell Howard, Jimmy Dale and sister Mary Jane.

Family and friends may gather for a graveside service on Monday at 12:30 pm at Holly Hill Memorial Gardens 10201 Bird River Rd, Middle River, MD 21220
