Lucila C. Sarmiento, a loving mother, a caring grandmother, a compassionate sister, and a convivial friend. She witnessed the sunrise on October 31, 1934, and the sunset on September 15, 2023.
Born in the Philippines, she grew up to be a devoted Catholic. With her faith, she lived a life exemplifying resilience, integrity, determination, compassion and most of all, love.
In 2010, she decided to reside in Maryland for good. She was adventurous. She had the quest to see and learn different places and culture. As a result, she met more friends and considered everyone as her family.
She is a friend to everyone. Her sweet and gentle smile generates camaraderie.
Though she was 88 years young, she was not daunted by technology. She loved You Tube, Facebook and tele novellas. Her mind was always sharp. She can finish a Filipino crossword puzzle booklet in one sitting.
With a smile on her face, she went home to Heaven. Let us celebrate her life on Wednesday, Sept 20, 2023, at 6pm to 8pm at the CVACH/ROSEDALE FUNERAL HOME 1211 Chesaco Ave.
Let us bid farewell to her earthly journey through a Catholic Mass on Thursday, Sept 21, 2023, at 10am at St. Clement Mary Hofbauer Church (Rosedale).
