Kevin L. Ramsey

     Kevin L. Ramsey of Baltimore, Maryland, left this life on January 20, 2024, after a long painful battle with esophageal cancer. He was born on Wednesday, July 11, 1956, in Bonne Terre, Missouri. Kevin was a loving husband, father, grandfather and a friend to many.

     Kevin grew up in Missouri and some of his favorite memories were hanging with his cousin, Steve and spending time with his grandparents, Maw Maw and Paw Paw French on their farm. Kevin came to Baltimore in the mid 70’s to pursue a career in the U.S. Merchant Marines by attending the Cathoun School of Marine Engineering "MEBA": By graduation he had met the love of his life, Pamela through a blind date setup by Anna Marie to meetup at a roller rink. They married shortly after on August 20, 1978, and gave birth to their Son Peter Jason on December 6, 1979. Kevin continued to sail on US. Flagships until 1984-85. Once his daughter Kelly Lee was born on January 8, 1985, Kevin took a position at BGE so he could spend more time with his family.

     Kevin is survived by his beloved wife, Pamela; his son Peter Ramsey (Stephanie), his daughter Kelly Metz (Jason), his grandchildren Peter Jr. and Gwendolyn Ramsey; Tyler, Kyle and Luke Metz and many other extended family members and friends.

    He was preceded in death by his father, Clarence Leon Ramsey and his mother, Betty Teft (nee Gibson).

Family and friends may gather on Wednesday from 2-4 pm at the CVACH/ROSEDALE FUNERAL HOME 1211 Chesaco Ave
