John Pete Xecominos

On June 16, 2025, John Pete Xecominos passed away. Beloved husband of the late Hoberta Mae Xecominos (Nee: Carr); Devoted father of Harold Steve Xecominos,(Barbara) Pete John Xecominos(Conni) and Penelope Xecominos Green (John). Dear brother of Despina Panageotou and Antonia Monkrusos and the late Lola Murray; Loving grandchildren Kristanna, Stephania, Johanna, Catherine, Sophia, Sarah, Celia, Athena and Christina; Proud great grandfather to Mason, Gabriella, Harrison, Gianna, Nikolaos, Eftihia, Charles, Elijah, Ziggy, Zachary, Noah, Daniel, Eliana, and Magnolia Mae.

John was born in Tinos, Greece in 1933. In 1945, he entered this country through Ellis Island, New York. He became an American citizen and joined the United States Army where he served four years. He was a proud baker at H&S bakery until his retirement in 2005.  He raised his family to be proud of their heritage and to be strong, committed adults. He loved his trips to Greece where he has many surviving relatives. His greatest pleasure were his grandchildren and great grandchildren. He was an amazing father and Poppou. 

John requested donations be made to St. Nicholas Greek Orthodox Church (520 Ponca St, Baltimore, MD 21224) or the Ahepa Senior Living Center (1351 S Clinton St, Baltimore, MD 21224).

Family and friends are invited to gather for a visitation at St. Demetrious Greek Church (2504 Cub Hill Road, Parkville, MD) on Tuesday, June 24, 2025, from 10 to 11 a.m., followed by a Mass of Christian Burial at 11 a.m.
