Joella Franz-Kellner Obituary

Joella Franz-Kellner passed away peacefully on November 16, 2021 at the age of 69.  Joella was the beloved wife of the late George S. Kellner; devoted mother to Lori & her husband Paul Oross and Dennis & his wife Tiffany Blume; cherished Nana of Christopher Oross, Zack Paugh, Emma, Jacob, Peyton, Eli, & Lucas Blume; loving step-grandmother of Lacey and her husband Alex Wancowicz, James and his wife Nicole Chanoski, Jonathan Chanoski, and Laura Chanoski; adoring step-great grandmother to Uma, Blake, & Isabella Wancowicz, Nathan & Liam Chanoski, Anthony Raimondo, and Lucas, Caleb, Hayden & Declan Chanoski; dear sister of Charles Franz and the late Judith Swingler; dear sister-in-law of Robert Swingler; loving Aunt to David, Joe, & Tim Marzola, Charles & Michael Franz, and Bob Kellner; and special friend to Linda Blume, Raymond Chamberlain, Dawn Ensor-Holbrook, Renee Murphy, among many others including her doctors, nurses, and health care staff who she was so dearly grateful for and called friends.

Joella was born in Baltimore, Maryland on July 12, 1952 to Charles & Theresa Franz. She worked for over 38 years as a school bus driver for Baltimore County Public Schools. She also drove a school bus intermittently for the Harris Bus Company during her career. Joella truly loved George and they did everything together:  traveling, watching tv (O's games, Hallmark, Westerns, and Jeopardy to name a few), spending time at their cabin near Lancaster, going to dinner shows, auctions, Orioles games, doctor appointments, preparing for holiday gatherings, and spending time with their grandchildren, great-grandchildren, nieces, and nephews, including cheering for them at a variety of sporting events/races, recitals, and plays. She truly loved George and he truly loved her; they took care of each other and now they are together again. She will be missed by many and will remain in the hearts of all who knew and loved her.

Visitation will be on Monday from 3-5 & 7-9 pm at the CVACH/ROSEDALE FUNERAL HOME 1211 Chesaco Ave.  A Mass of Christian Burial will be on Tuesday at 10 am. St. Clement Church (Rosedale).
