On June 24, 2020 Jacqueline (Jackie) Anna Libercci, passed away peacefully at home. Jackie was the beloved wife of over 50 years to the late Joe Libercci. She was a wonderful mother to daughter Therese Shock and her late husband, Ed; and son Joseph Libercci.
Jackie was the youngest daughter of Anna and Joseph Impallaria and sister to the late Joseph Impallaria Jr. and the late Marie Impallaria Orwig. She proudly grew up in Little Italy, often telling her stories of her father’s fig tree on Exeter Street, scrubbing the stoops there, school and church at St. Leo’s, and all the friends and family who lived in the neighborhood. It was here that she learned her Italian cooking, which she passed on to her family with pride.
She loved to travel and shared this love with so many others through her “J/L Short Bus Trips” which took her and many others to memorable places. One of her favorite places to share though, was her summer home at the beach. Always the hostess with a positive outlook on life, she was loved by all. She also enjoyed her over 20 years of working in the Mars bakery, and greeting all of her customers as old friends.
Jackie was the loving grandmother of Christina Pasco and her husband, Joe, Dr. Cruz Mannherz, Joshua Libercci and his wife, Danielle; and Nikole Jones and her husband Tyler. Dear great grandmother (Nonna) to Aurelia Pasco, Jasper Libercci, and Arabella Jones. Dear sister-in-law of Maryann Libercci and aunt of April Shenberger, and many other nieces and nephews.
NO FLOWERS PLEASE, donations may be made per Jackie’s request to “Team Shockstrong”, benefiting the Pancreatic Cancer Action Network in honor of her son-in-law Ed; 5833 Barts Way, Frederick MD 21704
