George Leroy Abel

On August 13, 2020 George Leroy Abel; Beloved husband of Judy Ann Abel (nee: Smith); Devoted father of Angela Marie Geisel and Dawn Marie Lindsay; Loving son of Arthur Abel and Marie Abel (nee:  Dannenfelser);  Dear brother to Daniel Abel, Louis Abel, Elsie Morrow, the late Rose Werner and Carol "Sissy" Greaver. Loving grandfather to Nathan and Dominic Lindsay and Charlie and Colton Geisel.  Doting owner of his beloved chihuahua, Angel aka "D.D.".
George lived a life most of us should aspire to.  He met the love of his life, Judy, in his early teens and they have been devoted life partners since.  He loved his profession.  Years of drywall finishing made him the best.  If you wanted perfect walls, George was the man for the job.  He was a loving, caring and calm Father and Grandfather.  He never raised his voice or yelled.  He was always cool, calm and collected.  He always thought before he spoke.  And often spoke so softly that you had to lean in to hear what he had to say.  He loved all things Chevy.  His hobby was tooling and rebuilding his favorite Chevy model, the Camaro.  George loved the Baltimore Orioles.  If it was baseball season, the tv was always tuned to the O's game with the volume all the way up.  He spent countless hours outside talking baseball and pitching balls to the grandkids.  He loved the outdoors.  George loved to fish and hunt.  Deer hunting was his passion.  He loved being out in the woods, taking in nature, waiting for the perfect shot.  He was an all around great guy.  Always upbeat and positive. He never judged anyone and always appreciated the "best" in those around him.  He will be missed by all that knew him.  We will definitely miss those long stories.
