Edward George Smith

On February 8, 2025, Edward George Smith passed away peacefully at his home in Essex, Maryland. Edward has been reunited with his beloved wife Margaret Smith (nee: Brunner); Edward and Margaret shared a beautiful bond for 65 cherished years and were blessed with three wonderful children, Daniel Smith and his wife Joanne, Ruth Smith and the late Steven Smith.

Born June 28, 1932 in Paterson, New Jersey to his late parents Edward Aloyouis Smith and Ruth Grace Smith. Edward proudly served in the Navy. Throughout most of his life in New Jersey, he worked as an accountant and was actively involved with the local Knights of Columbus and also participated in competitive barbershop singing. He will be deeply missed by all.

A Mass of Remembrance will be held at Our Lady of Mt. Carmel Church on March 25th, 2025 at. 10 am. (1704 Old Eastern Ave. Essex, Md  21221)

Cremains will be place at the Calvary Cemetery,58 McLean Blvd., Patterson, New Jersey 07513 on April 11th, 2025 at 1 pm.
