Casimira "Mercy" (Escudero) Sponaugle

On July 11, 2026, Casimira Escudero Sponaugle (Mercy) passed away into God’s graces.  She was welcomed into heaven by her husband, Norman Willis, and her parents, Alfonso and Carmen Escudero (née Higwit) and she rejoices with her daughter, Margaret Sponaugle, while her three cherished children - Carmella Schumaker, Michelle Shipley and  Raymond Sponaugle - carry her love forward; Dear sister of Lourdes Painter, Dr. Violetta Patonai and Rica Kottke and now joins her brothers, Ostar Escudero, Alfonso Escudero Jr., Jose Lito Escudero and her sister, Vacion Agaton in the presence of Jesus; Beloved grandmother of Angel, Teresa and Asia; Loving great grandmother of Amontay. Mercy's greatest legacy was her love for the Blessed Mother and devotion to her Lord and Savior, Jesus Christ

Visitation Friday 3-5 pm and 7- 9 pm at the CVACH/ROSEDALE FUNERAL HOME 1211 Chesaco Ave. Mass of Christian Burial Saturday 10 am at St. Clement Mary Hofbauer Church (Rosedale). Interment Sacred Heart of Jesus Cemetery.
