My deepest sympathy to the family and friends. Death was not part of God's original purpose for mankind. Ecclesiastes 3:11 tells us that he “put eternity in their heart." Rest assured that his purpose will be carried out. Please read Revelation 21:4 which speaks of a time in the near future when all things will be made new. Even death will be a thing of the past never to be brought to mind again.
