On Tuesday January 30, 2018, Lois Thelma Scott (nee: Barry), 77, of Fenwick Island, Del. passed away surrounded by her loving family. Born Oct. 5, 1940, Lois grew up in Rosedale, Maryland. She attended Towson University and Essex Community College, where she met Timothy R. Scott, her beloved husband of 57 years.

Together they raised three children in Abingdon, Md. before retiring to the Delaware beach community they loved. An educator in the Harford County school system, Lois loved sharing time with her family as well as pets Casey and Bailey. She enjoyed word puzzles and proudly served as Cedarette past president and secretary, Tall Cedars of Lebanon Baltimore Forest #45.

Lois was a passionate supporter of animal welfare organizations and the Southern Poverty Law Center.

She is survived by her husband Timothy Scott and three children: Dana, Dean, and Timothy and her cherished daughter-in-law Lisa Scott; grandchildren Courtney Mitchell, Candice Scott, and Christian Scott; and great grandson Hunter Mitchell. She is preceded by her dear brother, Kenneth Barry, who passed away in 2017.

Visitation Saturday Morning from 10:00-11:30 a.m. followed by a 11:30 funeral service at Cvach/Rosedale Funeral Home, 1211 Chesaco Ave., Rosedale, MD. Interment to follow at Gardens of Faith Cemetery.

Memorial donations may be made to the American Society for the Prevention of Cruelty to Animals (aspca.org).
