Message from Lori Kaas (Her girl from the Town of Thurmont)
September 27, 2017 3:43 PM
I'm so sorry to have learned today that my dear friend Barbara passed away. I meet Barbara 8 years ago when she came to Thurmont to get her Colorfest permit. The moment I meet her, I feel in love with her. She was the kindest lady I knew. Every year, I looked forward to chatting and catching up with her. She treated my family to amazing lunch every year from her booth and my kids really enjoyed getting to know her as well. Her daughter in law came in today to get the permit and she told me about her passing. My heart was broken and I tried holding back my tears but I just couldn't. Please know what a special person she was to me and how much I cherished the moments that we spent together. I will always be your girl from the town office. I love you Barbara and may you rest in peace my dear friend!!! Till we meet again!
Love,
Lori Kaas

Thoughts and prayers are with your family during this very difficult time, Barbara is a loving and caring lady whom will be missed by her family and mine. I loved her sense of humor and her direct and candid words of advice to me when we spoke. Hugs to your family.

The Rose Beyond The Wall by A.L.Frank
Near shady wall a rose once grew,
Budded and blossomed in God's free ight,
Watered and fed by morning dew,
Shedding it's sweetness day and night.
As it grew and blossomed fair nd tall,
Slowly Rising to Loftier height,
It came to a crevice in the wall
Through which there shone a beam of light.
Onward it crept with added strength
With never a thought of fear or pride,
It followed the light
Through the crevice's length
And unfolded itself on the other side.
The light, the dew, the broadening view
We're found d the Sam as they were before,
And it lost itself in beauties new,
Breathing it's fragranc more and more.
Shall claim of death cause us to grieve
And make our courage faint and fall?
Nay!Let us faith and hope receive-
The rose still grows beyond The wall,
Scattering fragrance far and wide
Just as it did in days of yore,
Just as it did on the other side,
Just as it will forever more.
With sincere Sympathy to Wayne and the family.
With love
Mollie & Danny
